Loredana Selene Ricca lives and works in Locarno. She's travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Africa and attended batik courses in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. For several years she applied the techniques she learned and worked in the field of textile art with contemporary parameters.
She studies art as an autodidact and enforces a discipline that allows her to gain familiarity and experiment. For years she visits a studio where she works with different techniques. In her pictorial research and textile sculpture she uses a wide variety of materials, especially those from recycling. 
Ricca collaborates in the preparation of exhibitions in museums and art galleries and is also active in the restoration of paintings and works of art.
